Former Olympic snowboarder Ryan Wedding faces criminal charges for orchestrating an international drug trafficking scheme with ties to cryptocurrency, according to indictments unsealed by the U.S. Department of Justice. The DOJ alleges Wedding oversaw a criminal enterprise and ordered the January 2025 killing of a federal witness in Colombia.

The FBI has labeled Wedding as one of its 10 Most Wanted Fugitives, accusing him of leading a violent narcotics network. Attorney General Pamela Bondi emphasized that the U.S. government will pursue all individuals involved in drug trafficking, regardless of their status. Wedding’s operation is said to collaborate closely with the Sinaloa Cartel.
